1. What services are included in the drinking water and sewerage tariff?

Bringing water to your home and collecting the wastewater are the main services provided by Apa Nova Bucureşti to its customers.

The efficient operation of such services is dependent, as with other industries, costs related to the operation, maintenance, development, updates of the network, preservation of profitability, as well as environment safety.

All these aspects are included in the tariff and meeting such criteria guarantees the provision of quality services.

2. What does the term "rainwater" contained in the bill mean?

Rainwater means the quantity of storm water collected by the public sewerage system. Such quantity is calculated based on the property area.

3. What does the "municipal tariff" contained in the bill stand for?

The municipal wastewater tariff (TMAU) serves to finance the rehabilitation of the Bucharest wastewater treatment plant located at Glina.

This tariff is collected by Apa Nova Bucureşti in the name of and for the General Council of the Bucharest Municipality (CGMB) based on the CGMB decision no. 317/29.10.2008 from all the private individuals or corporate entities benefiting from the sewerage services delivered by Apa Nova Bucureşti.

4. What can I do if I fail to pay my water bills?

In case you are temporarily experiencing problems with the full payment of your water bill, you can reschedule your payment based on a payment contract. We are aware that water is vital to our daily life and we will make sure you keep benefiting from this service without interruptions. You are invited to the Customer Service (from Monday to Friday, between 8:00 and 16.00) for further information!

5. What happens if I am away when the water meter reading is scheduled?

If the Apa Nova Bucureşti representative has access to the meter, your bill is prepared based on the real water consumption.

If our company's representative has no access to the meter, estimation will be made based on your consumption history. In such a case, the representative leaves a notification (aviz de trecere).

To avoid the issuance of an estimated bill, you can send us the index read on your water meter.

Attention! In order to be taken into account for billing, you must send your index on the reading date set up by Apa Nova Bucureşti.

6. How and when can I pay the water bill?

Apa Nova Bucureşti accepts several ways of payment: card payment, ATM, at the BRD agencies, with the agreed partners by automatic debiting or in cash.

8. How is the water tariff calculated?

The tariffs charged by Apa Nova Bucureşti for both the drinking water supply service and the sewerage services are fixed under the strict observance of the concession contract and the provisions of the Government Decision no. 1019/2000.
The tariffs charged by Apa Nova Bucureşti are verified and endorsed by the National Regulation Authority for the Public Utilities Community Services - ANRSC.
